It’s that time of year. We have spent the winter months picking out our summer Mooovies, listening to bands for Concerts in the Park, and ordering our flags for I-Pledge. We are so fortunate to have fellow merchants understand the importance of our events. Their monetary support helps us pay for copyrights, band fees, and advertising to make sure everyone who would want to come by for all this fun would know the whens and the wheres.
We have always believed that a town’s identity is rooted in shared experiences and the creation of life-long memories. In order to do our part in the community, we have jam-packed our summer with some pretty amazing events.
Our Concerts in the Park allow us to squeak out a little more of our weekends in the summer. Every other Sunday night we encourage you to pack a picnic dinner and enjoy the sounds of really legit bands. I am in awe of the talent that makes our Sunday evenings such a blast.
Our Mooovie Nights have always been well attended with kids of all ages defying their bedtime to watch some of the great films from the year. They are in for some fun this summer with Ralph Breaks the Internet kicking off our series on June 12th.
My personal favorite event is the I-Pledge. July is the perfect time to celebrate our home pride. As in years past, this event is every Monday in July between 4 pm and 6 pm for kids 12 and under to recite the “Pledge of Allegiance” by heart in exchange for a free kiddie cone!
The weather is finally changing so let’s ramp up our excitement for a fun-filled summer where we all gather and enjoy each others company, great music, and good ice cream!
