Season Opener March 13th at 1:00pm - March 13, 2010

We are ready to open our doors for an exciting, fun-filled season.  We have a great staff in place, the shop is stocked and the calendar is packed with fun events.   Jim has been making the ice cream and will be debuting some new flavors.  Count on the Guinness, Irish Cream and Irish Coffee for St. Patrick's Day weekend and of course, to celebrate the Girl Scouts, we will have our Mint Cookies and Cream. Also out of the gate will be Double Chocolate Chip and Maple Walnut. Watch for Carrot Cake (for Easter) in the near future too. YUM! 

 

Dates to remember for Spring:

 

Saturday, March 27th.  We will participate in Earth Hour 2010 which is a global call to action to every individual, every business and every community. A call to stand up, to show leadership and be responsible for our future. Come to Capannari's with your flashlight between 8:30pm and 9:30pm and receive 10% off your purchase.  Our lights will be dimmed! 

 

Sunday, March 28 at NOON  Our 8th Annual Easter Egg Hunt.  5,000 eggs will be "hidden" in Moehling Park.  Bring your bonnets, baskets and cameras!  The Easter Bunny will be our celebrity scooper.  Thanks B&E Accounting,Smiles by Smoron,Mount Prospect Child Care and Novak and Parker for their sponsorship on this event.  

 

We have some new promotions this summer that should be alot of fun.  Make sure you watch for details on our 1st Annual NO HANDS ice cream eating contest that will be held on August 7th and also our Survivor Sundae Contest that should bring out some competition.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING THE MONTH OF MARCH WE WILL ONLY BE OPEN ON WEEKENDS.  We will go to 7 days a week on March 29th.
